How many vehicles can I manage?+
Free: 3. Pro: 15. Business: 50. Scale: 150. Enterprise: unlimited (custom). The system architecture handles fleets of 1,000+ — Enterprise is for the largest operators.
Is there a free trial?+
The Free plan is free forever — up to 3 vehicles, no time limit, no credit card. Upgrade to Pro or Business as your fleet grows. Enterprise is sales-led for fleets over 50.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Cancel from your Stripe billing portal anytime — you keep access until the end of the billing period, then drop to Free with all your vehicles and tenants intact. You can also fully delete your account from Settings → Danger Zone (cancels every subscription, anonymises your data, revokes portal links).
What does Stripe charge per transaction?+
Stripe takes 1.7% + $0.30 AUD per successful card charge for Australian cards (3.5% + $0.30 for international cards). This is paid to Stripe, never marked up by us. Bank-transfer payments — CarPay's default flow — have no Stripe fee. BECS Direct Debit (Business+) is 1.0% capped at $5 per debit.
How do late fees and your platform cut work?+
When a tenant's card payment fails twice in a row, CarPay automatically attaches your configured late fee ($0–$50 cap, AU Consumer Law) to their next invoice — Stripe collects it next cycle. We then take a 20% cut of any successfully collected late fee, added to your next CarPay subscription invoice. We only charge our cut when fees are actually collected. If the tenant never pays, we don't either.
Do I need to use Stripe?+
No. The Free and Pro plans work with bank transfers alone — CarPay matches incoming transfers to your tenants by plate number. Stripe is optional and only kicks in if you want card auto-charge or BECS Direct Debit.
Do you charge GST on subscription fees?+
Yes — KyriTech is registered for GST in Australia. The amounts shown are inclusive of 10% GST. Your CarPay invoices include a GST line you can use for BAS.
Can I upgrade or downgrade mid-month?+
Yes. Stripe handles proration automatically — upgrade now and we credit the unused portion of your current plan. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle so you keep what you paid for.
