Pricing FAQ

Common
questions.

If anything here is unclear, ask us on /contact — happy to walk through your fleet size.

How many vehicles can I manage?+
Free: 3. Pro: 15. Business: 50. Scale: 150. Enterprise: no cap, priced per fleet — that is the tier for anything past 150.
Is there a free trial?+
The Free plan is free forever — up to 3 vehicles, no time limit, no credit card. Upgrade to Pro or Business as your fleet grows. Enterprise is sales-led for fleets over 50.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Cancel from your Stripe billing portal anytime — you keep access until the end of the billing period, then drop to Free with all your vehicles and drivers intact. You can also fully delete your account from Settings → Danger Zone (cancels every subscription, anonymises your data, revokes portal links).
What does Stripe charge per transaction?+
Stripe takes 1.7% + $0.30 AUD per successful card charge for Australian cards (3.5% + $0.30 for international cards). This is paid to Stripe, never marked up by us. Bank-transfer payments — CarPay's default flow — have no Stripe fee. BECS Direct Debit (Business+) is 1% + $0.30 per debit, capped at $3.50 — so on a $400 weekly rent it is $3.50 against $7.10 on a card.
How do late fees and your platform cut work?+
When a driver's card payment fails twice in a row, CarPay automatically attaches your configured late fee ($0–$50 cap, AU Consumer Law) to their next invoice — Stripe collects it next cycle. We then take a 20% cut of any successfully collected late fee, added to your next CarPay subscription invoice. We only charge our cut when fees are actually collected. If the driver never pays, we don't either.
Do I need to use Stripe?+
No — bank transfer is CarPay's default flow and needs no Stripe account on any plan. Your driver puts your plate in the transfer description; you paste that line out of your banking app into CarPay. On Free that stays manual — you log the transfer and tick the driver off yourself. From Pro up, CarPay reads the plate out of the description, finds the vehicle and marks the driver paid for you, with typo tolerance. Stripe only comes in for card auto-charge (Pro and up) or BECS Direct Debit (Business and up). There is no bank feed and no bank login involved, ever.
Do you charge GST on subscription fees?+
No. KyriTech is not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged and nothing is added on top — the price shown is exactly what you pay. Your invoice shows the seller's ABN and the amount paid, with no GST component.
Can I upgrade or downgrade mid-month?+
Yes. Stripe handles proration automatically — upgrade now and we credit the unused portion of your current plan. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle so you keep what you paid for.
